I'm really proud of how the pencils and inks on this one turned out, although she lost a bit of the intensity in her face when I colored her.  Montie thinks Paige is hot, and wants her as his girlfriend.

Before doing Only One, I went through a few different versions of characters.  Here's an earlier one of Beri, showing him as a gruff adventurer matching the different tone of the story back then.  Probably about three years ago.  This image, and Beri's design in general, is surprisingly similar to Orphen, from the anime of the same name.  Same expression and facial features, hair, headband and tied belt, gloves...Beri sometimes wore a vest or pendant, as well.  Chalk it up to coincidence, but it's fun to watch Orphen and pretend it's Only One: The Movie!

A pair of old pictures of Paige.  For the time I did these, they turned out great - especially the motion in the image of Paige pulling on her jacket.  They've worn a little over time - a lot of the pencil has smudged, and that seems to be my footprint on the lower left of the first.  Another redesign here, too - Paige used to wear a visor when piloting.  But when I settled down to do Only One, I just couldn't keep it from looking incredibly cheesy.
